Peak season: parking fills up quickly – please arrive by public transport
During peak season, our parking lots are often completely full by mid-morning. For a more relaxed journey, we therefore recommend taking public transport.
The "Beatushöhlen" (STI) bus stop is right by the entrance. Regular connections from Thun and Interlaken.
Beatushöhlen-Sundlauenen" station by the lake. 20-25 min. walk uphill. Can be combined with the BLS combined offer.
Accessible via the Lake Thun Veloroute. E-bike and MTB parking spaces on site. Sporty and scenic.
Paid car park directly below the caves. Day ticket CHF 7. Walking time to the entrance: 8-10 min.
From Merligen approx. 75-90 min., from Beatenbucht approx. 60-70 min. The caves are located directly on the Via Jacobi pilgrimage route.
Attention – please note!
Once the P1 and P2 parking lots are full, there are no other parking options in the area. Especially during peak season, they fill up quickly. Please don't park outside the marked spaces – the police carry out regular checks and issue fines.
